1. What we aim for
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. That is the standard referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act in most guidance, and it is the one we measure against.
2. Where we stand
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the site meets the standard, and some parts do not yet. We are not claiming full conformance, because we have not had every page independently audited.
We would rather say that plainly than publish a claim we cannot stand behind.
3. What we have measured
These are checks we run on our own pages, not assurances in general terms:
- Colour contrast. Every text element is computed against the colour actually behind it and must reach the WCAG AA ratio — 4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text.
- Tap targets. Links and buttons are at least 44 by 44 pixels on touch devices, the floor published by both Apple and Google.
- Text size on forms. Form fields are at least 16 pixels, so iOS Safari does not zoom the page when a field is focused.
- Layout down to 320 pixels. Pages are checked at 320, 390, 768, 1024, 1440 and 1920 pixels wide. No page scrolls sideways.
- Headings. Sections use real heading elements, so a screen reader can move through a document by its structure.
- Motion. Nothing loops. Animations run once and stop, and anyone whose device requests reduced motion is shown the finished state with no movement at all.
4. Known limitations
We know about these. We are listing them rather than leaving you to find them.
- Third-party tools. Our contact chat and our intake form are supplied by another company. We do not control their markup and cannot guarantee they meet AA.
- Older pages. Pages written before this review may still use bold text where a heading belongs. We are working through them.
- No independent audit. Our checks are our own. They have not been verified by an outside assessor.
5. Tell us about a barrier
If something on this site stopped you, we want to know, and you do not need to explain it in technical terms. Tell us the page and what happened.
We aim to reply within two business days. If we cannot fix something quickly, we will tell you what we are doing about it and give you the information another way in the meantime — by phone or email.
